As an old manager once said "I always find it entertaining giving you new projects, you never seem phased and you never start where I expect.".
Once the curiosity takes over, theres no stopping the project.
Bucket List
While attempting to write a paper on motivation for an engineering module, I started to procrastinate. Which started on looking at bucket lists, and ended much, much later on what makes humans tick.
The research about bucket lists frequently brought up comments in which the person listing wishes that they started the list earlier, and the experiences that they gained shaped their views/outcomes.
Working on the list is a complete mixture of emotions, the simple items are usually the ones which are utterly inspiring and contradict the views I previously held.

Using the skills on personal projects is always rewarding, with new skills being learnt each project.

Diving
It started as just a number on the bucket list, as soon as my head went underwater and I started to watch the venting bubbles... I knew I was going to keep going.
Having that divide between air/water, leaving all problems behind to be able to float effortlessly while watching the marine life just drift by... nothing more calming than that.
I never expected to reach Open Water Scuba Instructor when I first started, but I'm glad I can now teach others to have the same experience that I have.
